I had the pleasure of attending the Australia and New Zealand Society of Retina Specialists (ANZSRS) conference held in Melbourne on the weekend of June 13-14, 2025.

Conference speakers from Australia, New Zealand, and abroad presented many interesting and challenging cases, as well as updates on the latest developments in retinal diseases and treatments. In particular, world-renowned retinal specialist Dr. David Sarraf from the Stein Eye Institute at UCLA delivered lectures on breakthroughs in the management of age-related macular degeneration using En face OCT/OCTA, and on the new OCT classification of Type 4 macular neovascularization. It was also a great opportunity to catch up with colleagues from across Australia and New Zealand to share and exchange knowledge and ideas.

It is a privilege to be part of this exciting era, where so many amazing new treatments and evolving technologies are available to provide the best outcomes for my patients.
