Geoff Wilcsek

A/Prof Geoff Wilcsek is an Ophthalmologist specialising in Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive surgery including eyelid, tearing and orbit surgery

A/Prof Wilcsek completed his Ophthalomology training in Sydney prior to completing his Ocular Plastics fellowships in the USA and the UK.

He returned to Sydney to head the Ocular Plastics Unit servicing the Prince of Wales Hospital and Sydney Children’s Hospitals and is a consultant surgeon at the Sydney Eye, Macquarie University and Chatswood Private Hospitals.

His practice incorporates all aspects of paediatric and adult eyelid, lacrimal and orbit surgery. He has a special interest in key-hole and endoscopic access to the orbit and lacrimal system and the benefits to patients when related specialties work together closely.

He has published over 50 scientific papers in peer reviewed international journals and three book chapters.

He is a supervisor of training for the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists and is involved in optometry and medical student education, including regular lectures to optometrists.
