Dr Katherine Masselos is an Ophthalmologist who specialises in cataract and glaucoma surgery. After completing a Bachelor of Optometry at the University of NSW, she went on to study medicine at Sydney University, graduating from both degrees with honours.

Following her ophthalmology training, Dr Masselos went on to a sub-specialty glaucoma fellowship at Manchester Royal Eye Hospital, in the United Kingdom. There she gained extensive laser and glaucoma surgical experience.

Dr Masselos performs minimally invasive glaucoma surgery, as well as trabeculectomy and tube shunt surgery. Dr Masselos is actively involved in research and has published in international journals as well as presented at local and international meetings.

Dr Masselos is a staff specialist at Prince of Wales and Sydney Eye Hospital where she enjoys teaching clinical and surgical skills to future ophthalmologists.

Dr Masselos is also involved in teaching junior doctors, medical students and optometry students. She is a lecturer at the University of New South Wales and Chair of the Clinical Advisory Panel for Glaucoma Australia
